In The Vale of Eternity, you play as a hunter of mythological creatures seeking to become the best trainer.
The game is played over 10 rounds or until a player reaches 60 points. Each round has three phases: first, players place their Capture tokens to reserve creatures from the market.
Then, they perform actions such as buying, selling, or placing cards in their arena, respecting the round's limit. Finally, all regular creature abilities are activated. Strategy and good card combinations will be essential to win!
The game also has an expansion!

How to play The Vale Of Eternity?
Game Setup
Each player starts with a hand of initial cards and determines the turn order.
The central board is set up with the "creature" card offer, the magic stone reserve, the score track, and the capture tokens.
Determine the number of rounds (usually 8 to 10) or the end condition as defined in the rules.
Gameplay outline
Capture Phase: Each player places a capture token on an available creature card, then a second time in the defined order. This allows them to reserve the desired card.
Action Phase: Players can sell cards, use magic stones, summon creatures from their hand or the offer, and activate effects.
Resolution Phase: Summoned creatures enter play, their effects activate, and end-of-round bonuses are calculated if applicable.
The next round restarts until one of the end conditions is met (number of rounds, score threshold, or other depending on the variant).
Win/Loss Condition
At the end of the game, the player with the most victory points — often accumulated through summoned minions, successful combinations, and mastery of powerful creatures — is declared the winner.
Our Tips for Winning
-
Optimize your capture choices from the start
Identifying high-potential or synergistic creature cards early in the game gives you an advantage. Reserving a key creature early allows you to build an efficient engine.
-
Build powerful combinations
Some cards work in chains: summoning a creature can trigger an effect and then grant access to another. Look for these synergies to increase your efficiency and outmaneuver your opponents.
-
Adapt to opponents and the meta
Watch your opponents' choices: if they are going for a particular strategy (e.g., legendary dragons, simple minion sets), change course or block their important options.
